A board book is a type of children’s book. While all board books are children’s books, not all children’s books are board books. For example, you can also find picture books, hardback books, and paperback books for children.
The inside of picture books, hardback books, and paperback books are all made of delicate paper. Hardback books have a harder (if you couldn’t guess by the name) outside cover. Board books have this same harder shell on the outside, and the inside pages are made from the same material as well. The cover and pages inside are often the same thickness, though the pages might be thinner on occasion.
